For one of my projects I experimented with a wall made out of marbles. The wall added light in a very interesting way for it both bent the light coming through and gave it color. Because marbles allow light through, but are hard to see through, the wall created an effective barrier between a public and private place without making it seem cut off or oppressive. The marbles themselves are sandwiched between two perforated sheets, allowing them to roll in place when touched. This created an interesting tactile experience within the building. What is shown here is only a mockette to represent conceptual feasability.
